The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the body and with overuse or once again, due to sudden movements, this tendon can get damaged or tear causing extreme pain in the heels and also swelling. This is why it is recommended that you do warm up exercises before any work out and also increase the intensity of your exercises gradually so that you may avoid these painful injuries.
